In the early days of web development we all knew most of the things we did made no money. The main reason for this was that there wasn’t much of a market and there were few trusted ways to transact. In those days the real innovators were porn sites because their business model was already tickety-boo and thus their will and budgets were placed firmly behind innovation. So we used to look at porn for new tricks (as well as new tits). As times passes, new fronts open up and what we’re seeing now in abundence in our in-boxes are the ever most sophisticated strategies of spammers determined to circumvent spam blockers. Whilst most of the time this practice is an irritation, it does give us some useful insights. Here is one of them. Yes we can learn from spam!.
