SPOTTHEBULL

Orange - Spot The Bull is now in it’s third year. It’s simple. You pick the square you think Derek (the bull) is going to be in at 2pm every day and if you get the right square you win a shot at nabbing some free glastonbury tickets.
Too often digital ideas are urged to come and go as quickly as do their broadcast cousins, as fast as it takes to blow 20, 30, 40 million quid’s worth on media, never to return again. In the digi world, as communities grow, so too does their engagement and support, so the bigger they get the more valuable they tend to become. The audience (if they’re not media dependent) are at their greatest value some way down the line, when their numbers and their enthusiasm is at their highest.
So despite being digital and always being expected to forget the past and do the next cutting edge thing, sometimes it makes a lot of sense to repeat. The people who joined in last time are probably there to join in again, bringing a few more friends to the party each time. It creates a really nice feeling when “that” thing comes around again. Nike used to do it with Run London which got innovated away into something else. A shame because it really seemed to bring everyone together in a positive way and get them all very excited. The repetition was part of it, just like it’s a part of Christmas.
Hooray for repeating! Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat…….
