NEEN Doesn’t exist

Wikipedia has more content and is more accurate than the Encyclopedia Britannica. That’s good news because it’s free and it leaves huge swathes of bookshelf space free for impressive art books and obscure, idiosyncratic french and german philosophy and literature.

But there’s a creeping badness in wikipedia because sometime over zealous moderators are now deciding whether something is valid or not irrespective of their credibility in any given area. If wikipedia is becoming some kind of mirror that is a yardstick to our world, perhaps we should be more concerned with who is shaping it?

What got me thinking about it was Nikola reporting on ikiniki that the Neen art group has had its definition removed on a grounds that it’s not a proper movement. Who the fuck decided that? Perhaps they should have called it “Neenism” so the librarians over there might have found it slipping more smoothly into their “art movement” box.
All that said I can only imagine this will help Neen. LONG LIVE THE NEEN MOVEMENT!
