419 SCAM cont…

Tuesday, May 13th, 2008

Despite a healthy bit of scammer bating there are still those unlucky few lured into dropping the odd £50k into some bank account in hope of a many multiple return. The 419 victims

YOU SUCK AT PHOTOSHOP

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

I’ve been through the Webby winners and spotted some great things but I suppose that’s not too surprising as it should be the very best the world has to offer. I was very glad to see the oddball but brilliant things still rising to the top like this great piece Iain showed me a few [...]

WHY I LIKE THE WEBBYS

Monday, January 14th, 2008

The Webby entry deadline is looming (25th Jan) so I wrote the following so you know why it’s worth putting something forward.

PASSINGBY

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

James Tindall has produced some of the most beautiful digital art projects to date and here’s another one:- Passingby. It merges footage from people’s uploaded traveling Youtube videos (either shot out of the left or the right window) and creates a never ending journey.

SPINVOX

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Poke’s rework of Spinvox’s site just went up. Charlie Brooker, [...]

GREAT SPAM

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Trying to say ‘cock’ without actually using any of the common terms is a real test for spammers. But as usual, constraints spawn creativity. This one rolled into my inbox yesterday and I greatly enjoyed it. Nice, simple, figurative.

THE GREAT YOUTUBE ARCHIVE

Monday, July 23rd, 2007

Why pay an institution to archive media from around the world when users seem to be doing it for themselves? Open source archiving I suppose it is.
Today it seems people are talking about the Sex Pistols and dipping into the collection of scraps and snippets people have found and uploaded. The piece above from a [...]
