The Webby entry deadline is looming (25th Jan) so I wrote the following so you know why it’s worth putting something forward.
James Tindall has produced some of the most beautiful digital art projects to date and here’s another one:- Passingby. It merges footage from people’s uploaded traveling Youtube videos (either shot out of the left or the right window) and creates a never ending journey.
Poke’s rework of Spinvox’s site just went up. Very quick turn around on this great service that either converts your voice-mail messages to texts and texts them to you (useful in meetings and stuff), or allows you to call in and have your message turned to text and automatically update your blog. Nice huh.
A nicely made World Clock and counter that shows real-time growth in population, disease, war etc.
Looks like nerdy chum and comedic talent bloke David McCandless has finally released his much awaited book The Internet: Now in Handy Book Form!. I helped out on some of the gags (but I don’t know whether any made it in, particularly my gonzo porn spoof idea “Gory Hole.”)

Trying to say ‘cock’ without actually using any of the common terms is a real test for spammers. But as usual, constraints spawn creativity. This one rolled into my inbox yesterday and I greatly enjoyed it. Nice, simple, figurative.
