Campaign for Excellent Lager

Again I have to fill in a bit more on my beery utterences. The Campaign for Excellent Lager (Camel) is an organisation which recognises establishments which serve a clear, perfectly stored, fizzy and chilled glass of our favourite piss tinted beverage. Juno (pictured) with their draught Moretti are on the list. Comment if you care to recommend anywhere.

If that is the bar at Juno and they are five examples of the ice cold italian Moretti lager that is served from a chilled keg beneath the bar, then they are indeed excellent, excellent lagers…..gosh, I might have to go down there now….mmmmm

I am a long time fan of lager beer and as such is interested in the Campaign for Excellent Lager. I would like to see a campaign to get the cheap grains out of all of the British brewed lagers. During the last 18 months the 3 major breweries have adulterated their products with either maize ( Stella Artois ) or wheat ( Kronenbourg and Carlsberg ) these grains have for me ruined what were very good products. I now seek out 100% malt lagers, mainly German, but due to the monopoly that the major brewers have in our pubs I find it difficult to get a decent lager in the majority of pubs. So C.A.M.E.L. if you can help me I would be eternally grateful,

    regards Richie
